ABOUT COASTAL COFFEE TECH
Like many other skills in life, to properly understand, diagnose and repair coffee equipment requires more than just a technical background but a complete understanding of the process involved to produce great coffee. Having spent many years in the field I started my career running a cafe and roasting coffee for both retail and wholesale accounts. This inevitably required equipment for the wholesale accounts and that required repairs.
18+ years later I have roasted for companies large and small on both coasts and have worked on countless coffee machines and a variety of roasters. I have also sourced green coffee, been a barista, have held my Q certificate (the industry standard for coffee grading) and I am passionate about great coffee and know what it takes to produce the highest level of quality. With this knowledge I understand how to repair coffee machinery effectively and efficiently and also understand the perils and stress of dealing with customers when your equipment is down. It's no fun telling a customer you cannot make them a coffee, the one thing they came to you for in the first place. Timely repairs with compassion for the situation is what is needed. Not only can I help you get back up and running fast but I can make sure that the machine is optimized to produce the best tasting cup possible!
